Erin will lovingly support you in finding and following your inner guidance. She will work with you and your birth and baby support team to help you thrive and get the support you need at any stage of motherhood. It's never too early or too late to be supported on your journey through motherhood.
Pregnancy and Birth Support
Get the support you need during pregnancy or pregnancy planning, including physical, emotional and educational support. Often mothers need help educating themselves on their birth and pregnancy care options. Erin's goal is to support mothers in evaluating their options and learning what they need to in order to feel empowered in caring for themselves and their baby growing inside, in choosing where and how to birth, in navigating and moving their growing bodies and more!
Postpartum Support
Erin will work with you to plan for your postpartum period and support you any way she can. Erin can help you by making nutritious, supportive meals for your new family or helping arrange meal support from family, coworkers and friends. She can help you regain your physical strength and plan so you can honor this precious once in a lifetime period to bond with your new baby. Erin also can honor you and your new body with a bone closing ceremony and she can help you navigate your bigger family, supporting you with child and home care, Ayurvedic oil massage, contacting family and friends and more.
Yoga and Movement Guidance
Body Preparation
Yoga has many benefits for both the mind and the body that are very beneficial for pregnant and new mothers. Through a combination of breath work, meditation, visualization and physical postures, called 'asanas', yoga helps you to find calm, and to balance and strengthen your body.
Yoga and natural movement will help you gain a better sense of your body, and how the mind can affect it. It can be extremely beneficial for you as an expecting mother to use body awareness and breath control to help you navigate your pregnancy and birth. As a new mother you will appreciate how yoga helps you more easily adapt to your new role as mother, combat postpartum blues, interact with your child and regain/build bodily strength. Mom and Baby yoga can help baby navigate and strengthen their new body too!
Doula Care
As a doula, Erin is here to educate and serve parents before, during and after baby arrives. Erin is a skilled teacher and helps parents educate themselves as to what to expect and their different options so they can make informed decisions for themselves. She's here to listen, to help you follow your desires, to help you learn how to care for yourself and to manage discomfort and avoid pain during labor. She's here to support you when you need it and at the birthing place of your choice. Erin will guide you in yoga, talk through things as you walk together or enjoy a nourishing cup of tea. She will help you prepare for life after baby arrives, from help finding needed supplies to helping you learn about time honored traditions for mother roasting, healing from birth, helping mom and baby bond, establishing breastfeeding, coming to terms with life as a bigger family, and feeding the new mother. She can help you around the house, help you and your family adjust, care for older siblings, or whatever you need for the most part.
